ANALYST

The McBride Capital team is actively looking for an Analyst to join our team in its Lake Oswego, Oregon office. This position will support Loan Officers by researching, underwriting, and interacting with clients to successfully close debt and equity transactions that best suite their needs. The ideal candidate will execute on the below job functions with a high level of quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities
  • Research and analyze demographic and real estate market data for input into loan packages

  • Underwrite potential multifamily, office, retail, and industrial investments for income producing assets, new construction opportunities, and non-income producing assets

  • Review and analyze income and expense for current and historical operating documents to understand what loan amount the asset can bare

  • Prepare proposals and offering materials for clients and lenders

  • Create and work on existing excel based financial models

  • Read and review real estate documents (i.e. leases, rent rolls, appraisals, environmental reports, purchase and sale agreements, operating agreements, etc)

  • Organize and maintain CRM to assist loan officers keep contact with clients and manage deals in pipeline

  • Analyze rent and sales comparables utilizing databases provided by McBride Capital

  • Track loan maturities and sales activity to develop new clients that need, or will need, a new mortgage

  • Call on prospective new clients to grow business

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or relevant degree, current Master of Real Estate Development or graduate is preferred

  • 1-2 years of real estate experience is preferred

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft suite skills

  • Strong written and oral skills

  • Ability to work with a collaborative and cohesive group

  • Discretion when working with financial statements and other confidential information

LOAN OFFICER

Responsibilities
  • Originate commercial real estate loans and work with processing team to ensure loans close smoothly and on time

  • Maintain timely communication with borrowers and lenders

  • Attend site inspections for originated loans

  • Negotiate terms with borrowers and lenders

  • Work closely with local developers, commercial real estate brokers, buyers and sellers of commercial real estate to understand their niche in the market and develop long term relationships

  • Stay apprised to the lending landscape by exploring new lender platforms and expand McBride Capital's overall lender pool

  • Utilize CRM to track lender and borrower correspondence and contact information

  • Participate in weekly internal and external pipeline calls

  • Work with analysts to underwrite and package all loans prior to sending to lenders

  • Work closely with analysts to identify and research properties and owners to increase volume and marketshare

  • Maintain the highest level of professionalism and ethical behavior

Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial real estate lending experience

  • Must understand debt and equity sources, including:

    • HUD​

    • Agency

    • CMBS

    • Private Money

    • Mezzananine Debt

    • Preferred / JV Equity

    • Construction

  • Exceptional communication/presentation skills​

  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience with CRM and CRE Intelligence platforms preferred, with willingness to learn additional software platforms as needed

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree required, with preferred major in real estate, finance, economics or business.
